A long-time favorite of Petaluma, and rivaling San Francisco’s Tartine Bakery with its amazing breads, baked goods and sophisticated tarts and desserts, Della Fattoria has just opened the doors on its ambitious restaurant and bar expansion and remodel.
Taking over the spaces on either side of the original café, Della Fattoria now boasts a wine bar, lounge area and spacious dining room for breakfast and lunch – with dinner service coming soon. The feel is glam shabby chic, meets modern European wine bar, with a little rustic Sonoma thrown in. And it works.
I haven’t yet had a chance to sit down and eat in the new space, but the lunch and brunch menus look familiar with hearty sandwiches and salads, with tasty hot main dishes like polenta. Also familiar are the beautifully statuesque rambling flower arrangements, backlit by fairy lights and candelabras.
Next door, is a smaller ‘grab and go’ location where you can buy all of Della Fattoria’s insanely good breads, pastries, cakes and desserts to go home. You can also have a quick bite there too, especially good if you’re in a hurry. I’ll be sure to do a decent write-up of the food once they start serving dinner. Can’t wait!
You can find Della Fattoria at 141 Petaluma Boulevard North, Petaluma, CA 94952
